Hi, I’m Dennis. Here is a bit of my journey..
I became interested in Real Estate when I graduated from High School in Madison WI. I was looking at investment homes there with my Father when my uncle wrote me and said he had a job for me. My uncle said “You will report for duty at 32nd Street Naval Station, San Diego.” Yes, that uncle, our Uncle Sam. 5.5 years later I received an Honorable Discharge from the Navy.
Realizing the value of Real Estate and the beauty of the San Diego area, Dennis purchased his first home in 1972 in San Diego for $17,900. He was an easy buyer and, having little knowledge of Real Estate, he relied on his agent. She took him to 3 homes that met his basic criteria and he said “I’ll take that one.” As a 24-year-old single Sailor, living on a ship, he had nothing for the home. He completely filled his home in one weekend via the newspaper, garage & estate sales using his VW van with the sunroof.
